Right tackle Dawand Jones announces return to Ohio State football for senior season

Ohio State right tackle Dawand Jones announced Monday night that will be back with the Buckeyes next season, putting off entering the upcoming NFL draft. Revealing his future plans in a simple tweet, he wrote, “Breaking News: Dawand Jones will be returning for his senior year at Ohio State.” His decision was finalized on the last day underclassmen were eligible to file paperwork to enter this year’s draft. With left tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere’s earlier declaration, Jones will be the only returning offensive lineman with starting experience at tackle. The Buckeyes are, though, bringing back a majority of their starting offensive linemen from 2021 with Jones joined by right guard Paris Johnson and center Luke Wypler.
