
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule with an 83-37 win over IUPUI on Thursday night. The Buckeyes rushed out to a 9-0 lead early and never trailed in the contest, even if it went through various scoring droughts throughout the first half. Despite clearly being the superior team, they took just a 13 point lead into halftime courtesy of a 7-2 run to close out the half. OSU came out of the break with more juice, once again getting off to a hot start while the Jaguar struggled to generate offense or get stops defensively. A reasonable deficit quickly turned into a 22-point lead by the first media time out of the first half after OSU made all but one of its first six shots.
