
COLUMBUS, Ohio — New defensive coordinator Jim Knowles is bringing in another trusted voice to help him get started with Ohio State football. The Buckeyes announced Tuesday that Matt Guerrieri will join as a senior advisor and analyst. He was most recently the co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at Duke, after joining the Blue Devils as a grad assistant in 2012 when Knowles was defensive coordinator. Guerrieri is a Willoughby Hills native and a graduate of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin High School in Chardon. Guerrieri steadily rose in the ranks at Duke. After three years as a GA he was promoted to full assistant. He became co-defensive coordinator after Knowles departed for Oklahoma State in 2017.
