
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State basketball team has already had three games on its schedule canceled following a COVID-19 outbreak and now another has been postponed. OSU was scheduled to play Nebraska for the second time on Saturday, but the Cornhuskers have less than the seven scholarship players required by the conference to field a team as the program deals with an outbreak. The Buckeyes won the first meeting in Lincoln in overtime 87-79. The win was their first game back from a COVID pause and served as a coming-out party for freshman Malaki Branham who scored a season-high 35 points on 13 of 19 shooting. They’ve gone 4-2 since returning from the pause and are 12-4 (5-2 Big Ten) on the season. Both programs will work with the Big Ten to reschedule the conference game at a later date.
