Ohio State’s Jacy Sheldon scored 32 for the Buckeyes in an 80-71 win over Rutgers. Ohio State (15-3, 7-2 Big Ten) ended its three-game losing streak at the hands of Rutgers (7-13, 0-8 Big Ten) with an 80-71 win Sunday. Prior to that victory, OSU’s most recent win over the Scarlet Knights came on Feb. 14, 2001. Jacy Sheldon led the Buckeyes in scoring with 32, and 23 of those came after halftime when she went 7-for-12 from the field and 4-for-7 from behind the arc. “I thought we were a little choppy at times and didn’t play our best,” said coach Kevin McGuff, “but our intensity in the second half and our leadership from the upperclassmen allowed us to pull away and get the win.” It was the fourth straight game in which Sheldon has scored 30 or more points.
