Growing up, Avon Eagles’ defensive back Colin Kaufmann always wanted to become a Buckeye ever since watching Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller playing. The day before Avon College Signing Day on Jan. 2, he chose to commit to The Ohio State and was among seven Eagles to sign as a preferred walk-on. “[Playing for Ohio State] has always been a dream,” Kaufmann said. “As a kid, lining up for fourth grade football, you are (thinking that) I just want to be a Buckeye.” Playing for Ohio State is a dream that a lot of kids want to have, but few get to accomplish.
