Former Ohio State walk-on, J.P. Andrade has made his destination known as he’ll be joining Deion Sanders at Jackson State University. Sanders has been making waves since taking over as the head coach of the football program bringing in several highly rated recruits, including this year’s No. 1 rated prospect, runningback, Travis Hunter. As a walk-on, Andrade was buried on the depth chart and never took a snap in a game for the Buckeyes. The quarterback had several D1 offers coming out of Bonita High School in La Verne, California, but chose to be a walk-on at OSU and learn under Ryan Day. That may be an idea that pays off for Andrade having certainly practiced against excellent competition over the past couple of seasons.
