Record number of Ohio State women's hockey players at Olympics

There are six Ohio State women’s hockey players past, present and future taking part in the Winter Olympics. They range from those participating in their first Olympics, like Jincy Dunne of the United States, to Minttu Tuominen, who is appearing at the Games for the fourth time and has played two different positions in Olympic competition for Finland. Natalie Spooner has already won gold at the Olympics as part of Team Canada’s roster in 2014. She’s the only Buckeye on this list to ever stand at the top of the podium. The six players represent five countries, and they mark a record for the number of OSU women’s hockey players participating in the Olympics at one time. The Opening Ceremonies take place Friday, but preliminary round games in women’s hockey have already gotten underway.
