Why Ohio State football's rebuilt coaching staff features two secondary coaches

Tim Walton Perry Eliano was attending a professional development seminar in Miami a few years ago when he met Tim Walton. “We hit it off and had great chemistry,” Eliano said. They’re now working together as secondary coaches on Ohio State’s rebuilt coaching staff. Eliano is coaching safeties with Walton working with the cornerbacks. The pairing is significant because it marks the first time that the Buckeyes have had two full-time defensive backs coaches since Ryan Day took over in 2019.
