Fresh off two top ten wins, including an upset of then No. 1 Tennessee, the Ohio State men’s tennis team has moved to No. 1 themselves according to both the ITA and the Tennis Channel / USTA College Tennis polls this week. OSU has been among the best programs in the country over the last several years and consistently fought for that No. 1 spot, but it’s the first time since February 20 of 2019 that the Buckeyes have held the top spot. OSU fell short of a national title that season though, finishing at No. 3 in the polls. This past weekend, Ohio State swept No. 1 Tennessee 4-0 before also taking care of No. 6 Virginia by the same score. The Buckeyes haven’t dropped a point in five matches.
