Helped by Cannon Kingsley, Ty Tucker’s OSU men’s tennis team has risen to No. 1 in the rankings. The Ohio State men’s tennis team has risen to No. 1 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Associationand Tennis Channel/ USTA College Tenniscollege rankings after two impressive victories last weekend. The Buckeyes, then ranked No. 5, swept No. 1 Tennessee on Friday and No. 6 Virginia 4-0 on Sunday at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center. Ohio State (7-0) was a near-unanimous selection in the ITA rankings. The Buckeyes got 10 of 12 first-place votes, which are done by coaches. OSU was last ranked No. 1 in 2019. The Buckeyes have four players ranked in the top 36 in singles in the ITA rankings.
