
On Thursday, Michigan blew out Purdue. On Saturday, the Wolverines will “blue out” Ohio State. The men’s basketball team will take the Crisler Center floor less than 48 hours after it was filled with fans celebrating a win over the third-ranked team in the country. The Wolverines didn’t just beat Purdue, they dominated them, 82-58. Michigan outscored Purdue from the 3-point line by 24 points (the final margin of victory), had half as many turnovers, posted 25 assists to Purdue’s five, and easily won the rebounding battle. Michigan did it all on short rest and will try to replicate that effort against Ohio State. It is Michigan’s third game in five days. The Buckeyes last played on Wednesday, losing at Rutgers 66-64.
