
FINDLAY, Ohio — Offensive line is priority No. 1 for Ohio State football’s 2023 recruiting class, and the addition of Luke Montgomery gets it one step closer to its goal. Justin Frye’s first job as the Buckeyes’ new offensive line coach is restocking the room, especially at tackle, where there are more questions than answers after the 2022 season. It’s why having four or five commits by Signing Day is a necessary goal, with opportunities for most of that work being done inside Ohio. Ohio has three offensive linemen who may all become top-200 recruits. Montgomery is the highest-rated of that trio coming in at No. 49 and the state’s best player now that Sonny Styles has reclassified to 2022. He joined Joshua Padilla as commits on Thursday afternoon.
