An offensive tackle recruit who can play on both sides of the line of scrimmage, Montgomery chose the Buckeyes and coach Ryan Day over a finalist group of Notre Dame, Michigan, Clemson and Alabama. “The deciding factor was that it it was an hour and a half away,” Montgomery said. “I could come back and watch my siblings play. I have three younger siblings.” Montgomery is the No. 49 overall player in the Class of 2023, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
