E.J. Liddell listed as questionable for Ohio State basketball’s game against Illinois


COLUMBUS, Ohio –Ohio State basketball could be without its best player and leading scorer when it faces Illinois tonight. E.J. Liddell has been listed as questionable while dealing with the flu for the past couple of days. He’s averaging a team-high 19.5 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game while shooting 51 percent from the field. The junior is joined on the unavailability report by Justice Sueing and Seth Towns. Sueing has only played in two games this season while dealing with a groin injury while Towns will miss the entire season after having offseason back surgery. The Buckeyes are already considered a six-point underdog against the Illini with Liddell on the floor. Without him, that makes the already difficult task of being one of the Big Ten’s best teams on the road more daunting.
