The United States Football League, better known as the USFL 2.0, held their expansion draft a few weeks ago and a few former Ohio State Buckeyes were selected including fan favorites Johnnie Dixon and Mike Weber, but this week the USFL held a supplemental draft. In the last draft, each round was broken down by positional group, but the supplemental draft was more of a standard best player available type draft, which is what I always prefer. We discussed the selection of Matthew Burrell to the Tampa Bay Banidts, but a few picks later, Marcus Baugh was selected by the Michigan Panthers with the fourth pick in the third round. Baugh was a four-star recruit who was fairly productive in his final two seasons at Ohio State, with 52 receptions for 573 yards and seven touchdowns.
