Ohio State men’s basketball awarded No. 7 seed in NCAA Tournament; Akron is a 13 seed

The Ohio State men’s basketball team will be dancing during March Madness, but the Buckeyes are entering the NCAA Tournament in a slump. Meanwhile, Akron is also in and on a roll. On March 13, the Buckeyes and Zips learned their NCAA seed and opponent. OSU (19-10) has lost four of its last five, including a setback in the its Big Ten Tournament opener to Penn State. Still, the Buckeye earned the No. 7 seed in the South Region and will play Missouri Valley Conference winner Illinois-Chicago (25-7) on March 18 in Pittsburgh. The Ramblers are the No. 10 seed.
