COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jaxon Smith-Njigba knows whatever anonymity he once held in Ohio State football’s receiving room has long since vanished. The Texan with a unique name had already proven himself an equal third of the Buckeyes’ starting group last season. Then he erupted in a Rose Bowl performance for the ages. The spotlight he enjoyed that night converts into a target for opposing defenses this fall. Smith-Njigba said he full expects more eyes on him in 2022.
