E.J. Liddell backs up promise, Ohio State handles Loyola Chicago in NCAA Tournament

E.J. Liddell got a few steps in early. Thursday afternoon at PPG Paints Arena, the Ohio State captain promised anyone who would be watching No. 7 Ohio State’s first-round NCAA Tournament game that they would see a different Buckeyes team than the one that closed the season losers of four of five games. Liddell talked the talk. Then he danced the Griddy right before the Buckeyes took the floor for the Big Dance. Then by the end, Liddell and his teammates walked the walk into the second round with a 54-41 win against No. 10 seed Loyola Chicago (25-8).
