Ohio State football’s Bryson Shaw enters transfer portal, becoming second defensive back to do so Monday


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Bryson Shaw stepped in for an injured Josh Proctor in 2021 and attempted to stabilize the back end of Ohio State football’s defense. After the loss at Michigan, he spoke on behalf of the entire defense, displaying the poise and leadership skills that might have helped the Buckeyes behind the scenes. For 2022, Shaw’s role again appeared to be as a backup waiting for an opportunity. The junior took that quest into his own hands Monday when he entered the transfer portal. Bucknuts first reported the development. Shaw became the second OSU defensive back to enter the transfer portal on Monday. Redshirt sophomore Lejond Cavazos also informed the program he intends to move on.
