
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Third in a series of capsules examining Ohio State football’s 2022 NFL Draft class. Nicholas Petit-Frere’s draft evaluation largely comes down to whether three games in the final five weeks of his OSU career overshadow what he did in 16 other games over the past two seasons. He arrived as a five-star, top-10 prospect in 2018 who, for a tackle, possessed uncommon athleticism and insufficient mass. He added 40 pounds over the next couple of years before his breakthrough at right tackle in 2020. After one season as pass protection stalwart, the Buckeyes sent Petit-Frere to left tackle when reconfiguring the starting offensive line in preseason camp.
