For the second straight day, Ohio State saw a member of its secondary depart. Reserve safety Marcus Hooker put his name in the transfer portal on Tuesday, following Andre Turrentine’s entry the previous day, a team spokesman confirmed. Hooker started at free safety for the first half of the coronavirus pandemic-shortened season in 2020 before Josh Proctor overtook him for the spot. His role dwindled even more last season following his return from a team-issued suspension for his second drunk driving arrest. Last April, Hooker pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle under the influence and paid a $375 fine as part of a plea agreement.
