Former Ohio State defensive lineman Jacolbe Cowan is heading to North Carolina after entering the transfer portal last week. Cowan announced his decision on Tuesday night, a day after former Buckeyes teammate and cornerback Lejond Cavazos also said he was joining the Tar Heels’ program. It’s a homecoming for Cowan, who grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. “There’s no place like HOME!!!,” he tweeted. Injuries kept Cowan from breaking into the Buckeyes’ deep defensive line rotation in his two seasons with the program.
