Ohio State track and field accomplishes something no school has since 1997

Ohio State’s men’s and women’s track and field teams both finished first at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships. Ohio State men’s and women’s track and field teams won at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Minneapolis, marking the first time since Wisconsin in 1997 that one school has earned both titles. It was the third-straight and fifth overall team title for the OSU women, who set a meet record with 185.5 team points, breaking the previous best of 179 set in 1994. The Buckeyes men captured their sixth overall title and first since 2018. While Ohio State posted impressive performances on day one and day two of the event, neither the men or women were in the top three before Sunday.
