Staff reports | The Columbus Dispatch The Ohio State men’s golf team is tied for fifth place after the first of three days of play in an NCAA regional at the Buckeyes’ Scarlet Course. Oklahoma State leads at 4-under-par, followed by East Tennessee State (2-over), San Francisco (4-over) and Clemson (5-over). Tied at 6-over are Ohio State, Duke and Georgia Tech. the top five teams advance to the NCAA championship. The Buckeyes are led by Adam Wallin, who shot an even-par 71 and is in eighth place. Other Buckeyes are Jackson Chandler (72), JonErik Alford (73), Maxwell Moldovan (74), Patrick Schmuecking (75). Julian Perico of Arkansas leads after shooting a 3-under-par 68. The top individual not on the teams advancing also qualifies for the NCAA championship, to be held in Scottsdale, Arizona, May 27-June 1.
