CHAMPAIGN, Ill. —Ohio State advanced to the NCAA men’s tennis semifinals Thursday night with a 4-2 victory over Michigan. Andrew Lutschaunig at No. 6 had the clinching victory with a 7-6, 6-4 victory over Nick Beaty. The fourth-seeded Buckeyes will play No. 8 Kentucky on Saturday. The Wildcats upset top-seeded TCU in their quarterfinal match earlier Thursday. Ohio State lost the doubles point but dominated in singles as it got payback for Michigan’s 4-2 victory in the Big Ten Tournament championship. Rain forced the match to switch to the University of Illinois’ indoor courts just as the Buckeyes were asserting control, but the change didn’t affect OSU. JJ Tracy defeated Andrew Fenty 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles to even the match.
