Ohio State had no shortage of star performers across its 36 varsity sports in 2021-22. From national champions to national award winners and finalists and record-breakers, Ohio State athletes were among the best in their conference and the entire country in a wide variety of sports over the past year. As Ohio State’s academic year of NCAA-sanctioned competition officially concluded this past weekend with the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, we took a look back at how Buckeye stars performed in every sport over the past 12 months to highlight the best of the best Ohio State athletes for 2021-22. With so many athletes deserving of recognition this year, we expanded this year’s list of top performers from the top 25 Buckeyes of 2020-21 to a top-30 countdown this year.
