COLUMBUS, Ohio — Running backs continue to be a focal point for the Ohio State Buckeyes’ recruiting efforts. On Monday afternoon, both 2024 four-star Davion Gause from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Fla., and 2025 Gideon Davidson from Liberty (Virginia) Christian Academy announced they have received OSU offers. With only one running back signing in the 2022 class (four-star Dallan Hayden) and one commitment in the 2023 class (four-star Mark Fletcher), the Buckeyes appear determined to bolster their running back corps. Gause is the No. 9 running back in his class, according to 247sports.com composite rankings. He holds offers from 21 schools, including Michigan, Georgia, Oregon, and Notre Dame.
