
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Donovan Johnson and the Ohio State football program have quickly developed an affinity for each other. The 2025 running back from Georgia earned an offer in May, then got a chance to get an individual workout with Tony Alford during OSU’s fourth day camp. Alford put him through all the drills he’d put the guys currently in his running back room through, giving Johnson a chance to see what life would be like in Columbus. “It was great,” Johnson said. “I’ve gotta perfect my craft. I’m trying to turn into an all-around back.” The goal of the workouts is to make things as difficult as possible.
