COLUMBUS, Ohio — Brian Hartline has had a ton of success on the recruiting trail since taking over as Ohio State football’s wide receiver coach, but the 2023 class present the first test of his coaching career. Hartline has often led the charge as the Buckeyes put together a class by finding his guys early, locking them down then continuing to build the relationship. This has been easy for him. But this cycle has been a test of his fortitude and patience. No battle has better exemplified that than the one for Carnell Tate, even if it paid off in the end with a commitment.
