Ohio State basketball to play Duke in ACC/Big Ten Challenge


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball’s upset over Duke was one of the better wins of the 2021-22 season and now it’ll try to do it again. The two programs will once again face off in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Thursday, Nov. 30. The Buckeyes won at home 71-66 when the Blue Devils were ranked as the No. 1 team in the country. It served as the only time Chris Holtmann got to face Mike Krzyzewski before the Hall of Fame coach’s retirement. “The energy around this game, it’s hard to minimize how important this is for your school, for your students,” Holtmann said after the win. “Certainly it validates some of the things we’ve been preaching to our guys about being resilient and tough-minded.” OSU returns a roster where Zed Key is the only player who saw action in last year’s win, scoring a career-high 20 points.
