It seems hard to believe, but Ohio State Buckeye football team hasn’t played Iowa since 2017. And memories of that contest don’t sit well with Ohio State fans. Iowa surprised the No. 3 Buckeyes 55-24 that day in Kinnick Stadium, which ended the team’s playoff chances. The Hawkeye defense overwhelmed the Buckeyes, and Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett ended the day with four interceptions. “They were baiting him … that’s their coverage,” Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer said after the game. “We just didn’t play very well.” But that was 2017, and this is 2022. Ohio State will welcome Iowa on Oct. 22 and it’s expected to be a key Big Ten game for both teams. Last season, Iowa finished with a 10-4 record and 7-2 mark in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes were defeated 42-3 by Michigan in the Big Ten championship game and 20-17 to Kentucky in the Citrus Bowl.…
