The Ohio State athletic department ended up fourth in the final Directors’ Cup standings for the 2021-22 academic year, marking its highest finish in half a decade. The Buckeyes finished behind Texas, which won the competition for the second consecutive year, as well as Stanford and Michigan. The Directors’ Cup is presented by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics to recognize the nation’s most successful athletic programs. Points are given out based on postseason performance. The biggest feats for the Buckeyes include an NCAA championship won by the women’s hockey team and a national semifinal appearance by the men’s tennis team.
