COLUMBUS, Ohio — Florida State five-star running back commit Kam Davis was supposed to visit Ohio State last week, but a 7-on-7 obligation scratched those plans. That did not stop running backs coach Tony Alford from giving him the reward that was waiting for him in Columbus. Alford extended an offer on Wednesday to the dual-threat high school quarterback who is projected as a potent running back at the next level. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound Davis is the No. 4 athlete and the nation’s No. 21 player in the 2024 class, according to the 247sports.com composite. He was thrust into the quarterback role as a freshman for Dougherty High School in Albany, Georgia. A year later, he finished 107-for-176 with 1,787 yards and 13 touchdowns with three interceptions.
