Momentum continues to slow for Ohio State football’s defensive recruiting in the 2023 class. After becoming the Buckeyes’ first cornerback commit in the 2023 class in April, four-star Tampa, Florida native Dijon Johnson has decommitted from the program. He told the website On3 about his decision on Saturday. It followed a push in recent weeks by Florida and Miami to keep him in his home state. Johnson removed all Ohio State affiliation from his social media pages before attending Florida’s Friday Night Lights camp Friday in Gainesville. Johnson is the No. 20 prospect in the state of Florida and is the No. 10 cornerback and No. 93 prospect overall in the 2023 class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
