
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State started hot, closing out June by wrapping up its wide receiver and cornerback recruit for what looked like the beginning of a fruitful July. But midway through, the Buckeyes saw their fortunes turn, missing out on numerous key starts as their hot start turned into a recruiting rut. Even in the month’s final weekend as they finally found their 2023 quarterback in Brock Glenn, the celebration could only be short-lived as the class suffered its first decommitment in four-star cornerback Dijon Johnson. The dull moments are why almost all of the remaining 19 commits left spent Sunday taking to social media to reassure fans that better days are ahead for the class.
