
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Julian Fleming enters his third season with Ohio State football still endeavoring to display the talent that once made him a highly coveted prospect. According to coach Ryan Day, the junior from Pennsylvania took an important step over the summer. Strength coach Mickey Marotti’s champion tiers for offseason workouts are gold, red and blue. Yet above gold, a select group can also attain “Iron Buckeye” status. That’s not a list the staff releases, but it’s notable when Ryan Day attaches that designation to anyone. After Thursday’s first practice, Day said Fleming achieved an Iron Buckeye summer.
