Defensive coordinator Jim Knowles and Ohio State has its first linebacker in the 2023 class. Arvell Reese, a four-star linebacker out of Cleveland, announced that he would join the Buckeyes’ 2023 recruiting class. Standing at 6-3, 212 pounds, Reese is the No 277 player in the country and No. 20 linebacker in the 2023 class according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Reese is also the No. 7 player in the state of Ohio behind Ohio State commits Luke Montgomery, Malik Hartford, Jermaine Mathews and Austin Siereveld. Reese is one of many former Ohio State players that hail from Glenville High School in Cleveland, including cornerback Marshon Lattimore, quarterback Cardale Jones, wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr., safety Donte Whitner, quarterback Troy Smith and linebacker Chris Worley.
