What’s the most interesting thing about Ohio State football’s offensive line?


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football is going through its first fall camp with Justin Frye as its offensive line coach. Frye brings new energy into a room where he inherits a second-year starting center, two guards that are former top-100 recruits and two tackles who have a case for being the best tandem in the country. The Buckeyes’ offensive line put together a quality 2021 season as the starting quarterback was only sacked 13 times, and their 5.54 yards per carry were third nationally. But that same team struggled to run the ball against teams like Penn State, Michigan and Utah while giving up four sacks against the Wolverines. OSU’s offensive line was good last year, but getting back to the College Football Playoff will require it to be elite, which Frye thinks it is more than capable of. “I absolutely love this room,” Frye said.
