COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jordan Hancock stretched with his Ohio State football teammates to begin Thursday’s practice, and he joined them to break the huddle when it finished. In between the sophomore cornerback worked out in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. He is one of a handful at that position who were not at full engagement for the first practice reporters were allowed to watch in its entirety. Presumptive starter Cam Brown was not a full participant. Ohio State coach Ryan Day later said the senior “will hopefully be off that pitch count soon.” Freshman Ryan Turner was present for stretching but not involved with team drills. Day said he does not believe the injury issues at corner are long-term. However, that meant only three scholarship cornerbacks — starter Denzekl Burke, redshirt freshman JK Johnson and true freshman Jyaire Brown — fully participated.
