Ryan Day says Luke Wypler’s injury is “nothing long term” for Ohio State football


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Luke Wypler left Ohio State football’s 21-10 win over Notre Dame on Saturday in a walking boot, but head coach Ryan Day assured the ailment it’s nothing serious. Wypler is entering his second season as the Buckeyes’ starting center on an offensive line that should compete to be among the nation’s best. Day chalked up the post-game boot to being the results of playing a tough opponent than something to be concerned about. “When you come out of those physical games like that, there’s always bumps and bruises and things that we want to keep an eye on,” Day said. “But nothing long-term there.” If Wypler weren’t available, Matthew Jones would slide over from right guard while Enokk Vimahi would replace him.
