
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s defense has been below standard for much of the past two years, eliminating chances for individuals to be honored because of that. That came to an end following a 52-21 win over Wisconsin when Tommy Eichenberg earn Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors. He shares the award with Iowa defensive back Kaevon Merriweather. This is the third straight week a Buckeye has been honored, with Marvin Harrison Jr. and C.J Stroud doing so as offensive players. Eichenberg recorded 14 tackles — seven solo — and two tackles for loss as the Buckeyes starting Mike linebacker against the Badgers.
