Ohio State joins Michigan as Big Ten programs to score 45 points in five-straight games

Ohio State football’s offense is doing things the Big Ten Conference has not seen since the 1940s. With the Buckeyes’ 49-point performance through the first three quarters against Michigan State, Ohio State became the first Big Ten team to score 45-plus points per game in five straight games since Michigan in 1945-46. Michigan’s streak began Nov. 23, 1946 against Ohio State, beating the Buckeyes 58-6 at Ohio Stadium. It lasted through the first four games of the 1947 season against Michigan State, Stanford, Pitt and Northwestern.
