In Top-20 hockey matchup, Ohio State edges UConn, 1-0, in a shootout


HARTFORD — Ohio State’s Travis Treloar flipped the puck over Logan Terness’ left shoulder to give the Buckeyes a hard-earned 1-0 shootout victory over UConn before an announced crowd of 2,850 in a battle of top-20 men’s hockey teams Friday night at the XL Center. The Buckeyes’ Jakub Dobes stopped 20, but stymied all three Huskies in the shootout, Ryan Tvrberg, Matthew Wood and Andrew Lucas. Advertisement Both teams are 4-0-1. The 17th Huskies do not get points for the shootout loss in a nonconference game.
