FINDLAY — Standing under Findlay High School’s inflatable helmet for the final home game of his high school career, Luke Montgomery shook his head. Everything up to that point had been normal for the senior offensive lineman. His role remained: leading his unit onto the field, greeting each one of his teammates in the warmup line with a high-five and an emphatic “Let’s go.” His focus on Findlay remained, giving all of his energy for a team that fought for its playoff lives instead of for his future team or his future offensive line coach, who stood and watched every move he made from the sideline.
