Ryan Day’s still haunted by the scar Iowa left on Ohio State’s offense in 2017


COLUMBUS, Ohio — There aren’t a ton of players on Ohio State football’s roster who’ve experienced what it’s like to get upset by Iowa, but the same can’t be said of the coaching staff. Ryan Day and Kevin Wilson were brought in to fix the Buckeyes’ offensive issues in 2017 as co-coordinators, but the opposite happened in a 55-24 loss to Iowa. J.T. Barrett opened the game with a pick-six and it set the tone for how the rest of the game would go. He’d go on to throw four interceptions while OSU’s offense only muster up 371 yards. “It’s a scar that doesn’t go away (and) I’ve felt it this week, for sure,” Day said. “That was a tough day for all of us.
