COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football coach Ryan Day is certain of one thing regarding Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s potential return. If and when the Buckeye’s star receiver comes back from his hamstring injury, he won’t do so off the bench. “Yeah, I would say so,” Day said when asked if Smith-Njigba will be in the starting lineup upon his return. Day offered no specific update on Smith-Njigba’s lingering hamstring injury, or any others. He said those banged-up players got some rest during the off week, and the team returned to the field on Monday. Tuesday afternoon would bring a return to full practice.
