COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ian Moore has known he was getting close to wrapping up his recruitment and signaled the start of two things for Ohio State football by doing so. Justin Frye was brought in to improve the Buckeyes’ offensive line, ensuring what Michigan did last season doesn’t happen again. But he was also brought in to improve what was happening on the recruiting trail. It’s been a while since OSU’s had a top 100 offensive lineman commit to its program who either wasn’t from Ohio or, at the bare minimum, had Ohio ties. That hasn’t happened since Harry Miller did so as a five-star center in 2019, and that was more a credit to Ryan Day than the actual offensive line coach.
