COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football will not encounter a “whiteout” at Penn State’s on Saturday, as the teams will play a Beaver Stadium day game for the first time since 2009. Yet for many Buckeyes, any game at the 106,572-seat stadium will be a new experience. Attendance was limited to family of staff and players when OSU player there in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. The travel roster for that game included only five players still on the roster: Linebacker Teradja Mitchell, cornerback Cameron Brown, defensive end Tyler Fried and defensive tackles Taron Vincent and Jerron Cage. Each of the last six meetings between these teams was decided by 13 or fewer points. The Buckeyes have not won by more than two touchdowns there since 2009.
