Playing against Division II foe Chaminade in a Tuesday night exhibition game, Ohio State had scratched out an eight-point lead when freshman guard Bruce Thornton missed a 3-pointer six minutes into the game. It started the longest scoring drought of the half for the Buckeyes, who led by 23 at the half and cruised to a 101-57 win against the Silverswords, and allowed the visitors to claw their way back and threaten to make things interesting.
